Rihanna's VMAs Performance Will Be a 'Holy Crap' Moment
Rihanna heads out of her hotel and into an awaiting car on Thursday afternoon (August 25) in New York City.
The 28-year-old singer is in the Big Apple while preparing for her performance at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards this weekend. She is set to receive the Michael Jackson Vanguard Award.
“I’m really excited because she’s taken this opportunity to inject her own creativity into it,” the show’s executive producer Jesse Ignjatovic told EW. “If we’re talking on Monday the 29th or after the show Sunday, everyone will be surprised with what she’s done to make this honor her own and something that’s extremely impactful.”
“I can tell you it’s going to be one of those holy crap VMA moments,” he added. “She’s not playing. She’s bringing it.”
