'Rogue One' Cameo: Major 'Star Wars' Character Could Appear! (Spoilers)

SPOILERS! Don’t continue reading if you want to keep Rogue One: A Star Wars story a total surprise.

Rogue One director Gareth Edwards appeared on French language channel TMC and may have given away a big clue about the upcoming Star Wars film.

Fans noted that Gareth answered a series of questions and one of his answers perked some ears. “Will we see Princess Leia?” he was asked, to which he responded, “I don’t want to ruin it for people.” The vague answer is making some fans believe we may get a glimpse of the Princess!

Princess Leia was portrayed by Carrie Fisher in the previous Star Wars movies. Other confirmed cameos are Jimmy Smits, who played Bail Organa in “Attack of the Clones” and “Revenge of the Sith,” and Darth Vader himself.

Edwards: Technically yes.

Q: Will there be lightsabers?

Edwards: Darth Vader has one.

Q: Luke Skywalker?

Edwards: No

Q: Will we see Princess Leia?
