Hailey Bieber Addresses 'Completely Made-Up & Twisted Feud' with Selena Gomez: 'I Hate It'

Hailey Bieber is tired of the “made-up” feud with Selena Gomez.

On Thursday (June 29), the 26-year-old Rhode skincare founder was asked during an interview on Bloomberg’s The Circuit about what is really going on with between her and the 30-year-old Only Murders In The Building actress.

“I don’t think that this is about me, Hailey Bieber, and Selena Gomez,” Hailey said. “This is not about this pitting between two women — it’s about the vile, disgusting hatred that can come from completely made-up and twisted, and perpetuated narratives that can be really dangerous.”

“And I think that it’s an opportunity to really stand for bringing people together and not being okay with the kind of division that it caused, because I’m not okay with [it],” Hailey continued. “I don’t like this whole idea of team this person and team this person — I want to be able to bring people together and I think that it was a really important moment for people to see that you can do that and it doesn’t have to be about this whole divisive nature.”

Host Emily Chang then added that the “feud” between Hailey and Selena is a “frustrating old narrative” of two women being pitted against each other “because of a man.” Selena previously dated Justin Bieber years ago, before he married Hailey in 2018.

“I hate it,” Hailey agreed. “I’ve hated it since the beginning and it goes back to being misunderstood. Time and time again I say there is no issue and it’s so disappointing that people still behave this way over a man.”

Back in March, we recapped everything that happened between Selena and Hailey amid all of the crazy things that were going on.

Also in her interview, Hailey addressed the frustrations of constantly being talked about on the internet.

“I don’t want silly made-up drama to affect what I’m focusing and working on,” Hailey explained. “There’s narratives that exist for me that really hurt my feelings and make me really upset.”

Hailey also said that she’s found comfort in creating her own content that she “has control over,” adding that YouTube is a “really embracing and positive space” whereas TikTok tends to be “nasty” and “negative.”

Just recently, Hailey once again told fans to stop bullying Selena on social media.
