Elizabeth Banks Welcomes Baby Boy Magnus Via Surrogate!

Elizabeth Banks and her husband Max Handelman have welcomed their second child – a baby boy named Magnus Mitchell Handelman.

The 38-year-old actress announced the news on her official website.

Magnus was born via gestational surrogate,” Elizabeth shared. “This experience has exceeded all expectations, taught us a great deal about generosity and gratitude, and established a relationship that will last a lifetime. I am also so very thankful to our family and friends for their support throughout this process, as well as the Center for Surrogate Parenting for helping make all this possible.”

Elizabeth and Max already have 1-year-old son, Felix, who was also born via gestational surrogate.

“I now turn my attention to managing two boys under two. For which I am thankful. And all their poop. For which I am less thankful. Wish me luck.”

Congratulations to the happy couple!

Adoption is the right answer. You can help many children in need.

  • Kenisha

Being a good parent to your child(ren) however they become a part of your family is the right answer.

Congratulations to Elizabeth Banks and her family!

Has she said why she can not be pregnant herself?
If it is not some serious medical condition then it is pure using and abusing someone elses woomb, for money.
If she seriously can not carry her own babies, well then it is a true gift that someone else will.

Congratulations to Elizabeth Banks and her family.

Just curious, why has Just Jared not shared the news of Tamera Mowry Housely’s new baby? It is all over celebrity news.

  • hmm

Reproduction shouldn’t be messed with like it is today. It’s just sad and weird.

To carry a baby inside of you for 9 months (regardless if the sperm and egg were from the couple) and then hand it off after delivering so you can get thousands of dollars is disgusting.

Not to mention they have done absolutely no studies of the long-term effects of IVF drugs – especially for the egg donor.

Sorry, but in my opinion, if you can’t have children; adopt.

Using and abusing someone else’s womb for money, #5? The surrogate isn’t being forced to take cash to carry someone else’s baby!
