Stephen Moyer: Sound of Music's Captain Von Trapp for Live Broadcast!

Stephen Moyer will officially be playing Captain Von Trapp in the highly anticipated television movie live broadcast of the classic musical The Sound of Music!

The 43-year-old actor will portray the World War I hero single father of seven children in the live version of the show, which will air on December 5 on NBC.

Carrie Underwood has already signed on to play the role of Maria.

Stephen is no stranger to the live musical stage – he just finished up a run of Chicago last month at the Hollywood Bowl!
