Game of Thrones' J.J. Murphy Dies Four Days Into Season 5 Filming

Game of Thrones actor J.J. Murphy has sadly passed away four days after he began filming his role for the fifth season of the hit HBO series.

The 86-year-old actor died on Friday (August 8) in Northern Ireland, according to the Belfast Telegraph.

J.J. was cast as Ser Denys Mallister, who is the oldest member of the Night’s Watch. He still had more scenes to shoot and it is unclear if his role will be recast or written out of the show.
