Eddie Redmayne Opens Up on Early Marriage in 'Theory of Everything': 'It's Incredibly Admirable'

Eddie Redmayne is all smiles while attending the official Academy Members screening of his latest film The Theory of Everything held at the Academy Theater at Lighthouse International on Tuesday (October 21) in New York City.

The 32-year-old English actor was joined by his co-star Felicity Jones, producer Lisa Bruce, and screenplay writer Anthony McCarten at the event.

Eddie and Felicity both recently opened up about the early marriage between their characters in the film.

“I think it’s so interesting, the idea of getting married early,” Eddie expressed (via BusinessWeek). “The idea of how young and innocent they both were when they committed to each other, and how high those stakes were, and fully complex those stakes were, it’s incredibly admirable to me.”

“Jane and Stephen fell in love very deeply,” Felicity continued. “There was a deep connection and instant attraction between them, so they wanted to be together and it was a natural thing to get married.”
