Madonna Defends Her Prince Tribute at Billboard Awards

Madonna is speaking out to defend the tribute performance she gave for Prince at the 2016 Billboard Music Awards.

The 57-year-old entertainer took to her Instagram account to respond to critics who didn’t like the performance.

“Anyone who wants to do a tribute to Prince is welcome to. Whatever your age Gender or skin Color. If you loved him and he inspired you then show it!!!! I love Prince 4 ever �’��”️�”🙏,” Madonna said.

“Deal with It!” she captioned another photo.

BET even had something to say about the performance and the network teased its own tribute for Prince for the upcoming BET Awards in June.

“Yeah we saw that. Don’t worry. We got you,” the teaser said.
