Check out George Clooney, Cate Blanchett, and Matt Damon in this newly released trailer for their movie The Monuments Men!

The trio are joined in the flick by a star studded cast including Bill Murray, John Goodman, Jean Dujardin, Bob Balaban, and Hugh Bonneville. George also directed the movie!

The Monuments Men is about a WWII crew of art historians and museum curators who unite to recover renowned works of art stolen by Nazis before Hitler can destroy them.

Matt and George, who also directed the film, star alongside Bill Murray, John Goodman, Jean Dujardin, Bob Balaban, Hugh Bonneville, and Cate Blanchett in the World War II centered war story.

“Grant and I were looking to do a film that was less cynical than a lot of the films we do,” George recently told USA Today about his and co-screenwriter Grant Heslov desire to write this movie. “We went into Sony and pitched it and got greenlit right there. The story was just so compelling.”

Look out for the film, in theaters on December 18 of this year – we can’t wait!

George Clooney takes the time to greet fans on the outskirts of his The Monuments Men film set on Thursday (June 6) in Rye, East Sussex, England.

The 52-year-old actor shook hands and chatted with fans as he prepped for the day of directing.

Over the weekend, George and his co-star Matt Damon stopped in at a Cambridge, England gym to play basketball.

“They were very nice, such lovely people…they posed for some pictures and chatted with people, but they didn’t say anything about the film they were making,” a worker told E! News.

George Clooney leads the troupes while filming a scene for his upcoming flick The Monuments Men on Wednesday (June 5) on the south coast of England.

The 52-year-old actor and also director/writer of the film was joined on location by his co-stars Jean Dujardin, Bill Murray, John Goodman, and Hugh Bonneville, who filmed a scene where they all trekked through a body of water while carrying gear.

Look out for The Monuments Men, in theaters on December 18 of this year!

George Clooney keeps his sunglasses on top of his head while directing his upcoming film Monuments Men at the RAF on Monday (June 3) in Herfordshire, England.

Earlier in the day, the 52-year-old actor was seen donning a uniform while shooting scenes with his co-star Matt Damon and John Goodman.

Over the weekend, George and Matt were also spotted filming scenes together.

“The story is made up. I wasn’t holding anybody’s hand. Stop trying to sell magazines by creating scandal that isn’t there,” George said after there were reports of him holding an ex-girlfriend’s hand.

The 52-year-old actor was also seen directing his close pal Matt Damon, who is also starring in the film.
