Rihanna Leaves Def Jam & Joins Jay Z's Roc Nation

Rihanna has left her longtime label Def Jam after fulfilling her contract with the company and she has now joined forces with Jay Z‘s Roc Nation, according to MTV.

While the switch happened all the way back in 2013 when Jay partnered Roc Nation with Universal Music Group, it was first pointed out when Def Jam added RiRi to the “Legacy” section of its website.

Roc Nation’s website now also says that she is part of the company’s label and not just the management side.
