Julianne Hough Lights Up Empire State Building for International Day of the Girl

Julianne Hough throws out the ‘no white after Labor Day’ rule as she poses for photos at the Empire State Building in New York City on Friday afternoon (October 10).

The 26-year-old actress and Dancing With The Stars judge flipped the switch to raise awareness of International Day of the Girl, a day adopted by the United Nations to recognize girls’ rights and the unique challenges girls around the world face.

“I feel so honored to be the newest ambassador for @BcImagirl …. (Because I am a girl),” Julianne wrote on Instagram just the day before.

She added, “We have youth ambassadors from all over the world being honored for the work they do in their communities to help girls get an education, prevent poverty, prevent early pregnancies and so much more! To be in a room filled with such love and support for girls is beyond any emotion I can describe! #bebold4girls.”
