Charlize Theron and Sean Penn have reportedly split after a year and a half together, sources tell JustJared.com.

The 39-year-old actress is rumored to be the one to have called off the engagement after her trip to the Cannes Film Festival with Sean last month, according to Us Weekly.

Sean, 54 and Charlize have known each other for years (they even won Oscars together in 2004) and they started dating in December 2013. They got engaged a year later during a trip to Paris.

Charlize and Sean‘s reps both had no comment on the story.
