Tom Cruise's 'The Mummy' Villain Role Offered to Actress Sofia Boutella!

The character of The Mummy has reportedly been offered to breakout star Sofia Boutella in Tom Cruise‘s upcoming remake of the movie by the same name!

The 33-year-old actress, who is starring in Star Trek Beyond and had a breakout role in Kingsman: The Secret Service, will play the villain in the movie if she chooses to accept Universal’s offer, THR reports.

The film is set to be released in theaters on March 24, 2017. Universal is planning on taking on a monster franchise with The Mummy being the first film, and other potential movies including Dracula, Frankenstein, the Invisible Man, the Bride of Frankenstein, and vampire hunter Van Helsing.
