Nathan Lane & Matthew Broderick Return as 'The Producers' for Donald Trump Spoof! (Video)
Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick get back into character as Bialystock and Bloom in a fake sequel to their musical The Producers, which debuted on Jimmy Kimmel Live‘s post-Oscars special on Sunday (February 28).
The spoof imagines the two producers helping out with the presidential campaign for Donald Trump.
“Max, do you realize that under the right circumstances it might be possible for us to make more money from a losing candidate than from a winner? First we find a bad candidate, then we raise money like crazy and we promise all the donors an ambassadorship, to Italy or Sweden or Armenia,” Matthew‘s character says.
“Then when the public figures out what a nutcase our guy is, he drops out of the race…” “… and we keep all the dough,” Nathan continues as Max. “This candidate, he’s gotta be the worst candidate in history. A real trainwreck, a schmuck, a putz, a grade-A world-class gold-plated nincompoop. Where would we ever find a buffoon like that?”
Make sure to watch the funny clip and catch the appearance of Cloris Leachman!
