Naomi Watts‘ new Netflix series Gypsy has been canceled by the streaming service just one month after it debuted.

The news reportedly comes as a surprised to the producers of the series as the writers convened a month ago to begin drafting storylines and scripts for a second season, according to Deadline.

Naomi starred in the show alongside Billy Crudup as her husband and now they are rumored to be dating in real life.

Fifty Shades of Grey director Sam Taylor-Johnson worked on several episodes of the series.
