Ed Sheeran Explains Why He Won't Be Performing at Prince Harry & Meghan Markle's Wedding Reception

It looks like Ed Sheeran won’t be performing at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s wedding reception at all — he’s got a tour!

Speaking with BBC about the speculation of it all while on the 2018 BRIT Awards red carpet, the “Shape of You” musician explained that while Prince Harry and Meghan will be tying the knot, he’ll be in Ireland.

“They asked, ‘If you were asked, would you say yes?’ And I was like, ‘Of course.’ But journalists like, everyone’s like, ‘He’s playing it!’ But no one’s looked at my tour dates,” Ed shared.

“I’m in Ireland, I can’t do it. I haven’t been asked either,” he added.

Ed is also pictured below, heading out to dinner with fiancee Cherry Seaborn to Gymkhana Indian Restaurant in London on Wednesday night (February 21).
