Jim Carrey Criticized for Portrait of Sarah Huckabee Sanders

Jim Carrey is facing criticism for a portrait he painted that is supposedly of White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders.

“This is the portrait of a so-called Christian whose only purpose in life is to lie for the wicked. Monstrous!” Carrey captioned the photo on his Twitter account.

The painting is being called sexist for his portrayal of a woman in a power position and he’s also being called out for criticizing her religious beliefs.

Sanders‘ father, Governor Mike Huckabee, tweeted, “Pathetic BULLY, sexist, hater, bigot & ‘Christaphobe’ @jimcarrey attacks @PressSec for her faith; what would be hypocritical Hollywood reaction if he called someone a ‘so-called Muslim’ or ‘so-called Jew?’ #classlessCarrey”
