Meet 'Siren' Actress Eline Powell with These 10 Fun Facts (Exclusive)

Eline Powell is the star of the new Freeform series Siren and we caught up with her to learn more about her ahead of the series premiere tonight!

The new show takes place in Bristol Cove – a coastal town known for its legend of once being home to mermaids. When the arrival of a mysterious girl (Powell) proves this folklore all too true, the battle between man and sea takes a very vicious turn as these predatory beings return to reclaim their right to the ocean.

Here are 10 Fun Facts about Eline:

• 1. I have a dog called Dolly Parton.
• 2. I’m terrible at remembering the right lyrics for songs so I make them up a lot of the time.
• 3. When I was a teenager I covered my room with posters of The Matrix.
• 4. I can sing “Part of Your World” in Flemish.
• 5. Rena Owen is my new favourite role model.

• 9. At no point in the show do I actually eat fish.
• 10. Fola [Evans-Akingbola], Alex [Roe] and I shared an Airbnb for two weeks before we started shooting for Siren. I firmly believe we should start our own band. Alex would obviously be the lead singer while Fola and I do “oohs” and “aahs” with energetic finger snapping.
