Mike Myers Says He Didn't Hesitate To Play A Role In 'Bohemian Rhapsody'

Mike Myers hit Stephen Colbert‘s couch on The Late Show on Wednesday night (October 31) and confessed that he jumped at the chance to play a part in the upcoming Queen biopic, Bohemian Rhapsody!

The 55-year-old actor appeared dressed as Major Harry Carlyle, the very British character from the WWII classic A Bridge Too Far, who always carried with him an umbrella.

Mike talked about his Liverpudlian parents, his obsession with the Beatles and Queen, and how honored he was to be asked to take part in Bohemian Rhapsody, in which he plays a shaggy-haired British record executive.

Mike told Stephen that he received a call asking if he wanted to play the EMI exec who turns to Queen and says, “You can’t have ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ on your album.” With little hesitation, Myers told them, “Yeah! They go, ‘Do you wanna read the script?’ And I’m like, ‘No, not really, I’m in. Just tell me when and what to wear.’”
