'80s 'Video Vixen' Tawny Kitean's Cause of Death Released

Tawny Kitean, who was known for being a “video vixen” in the ’80s, sadly passed away at the age of 59 back in May of 2021 and now, her cause of death has been revealed.

The information that was released in early May 2021 was that the former music video star died on Friday morning (May 7) at her home in Newport Beach, Calif.

She passed away from dilated cardiomyopathy, a common type of heart disease, People reports. Other contributing factors included mild coronary atherosclerosis, mirtazapine, mirtazapine metabolite, alprazolam, acetaminophen, pregabalin, and hydrocodone.

Tawny appeared in several music videos for the rock group Whitesnake and in several videos for the heavy metal band RATT. She also was an actress and most notably played Tom Hanks‘ girlfriend in the 1984 movie Bachelor Party.

More recently, Tawny has appeared on reality television shows like VH1′s Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew, as well as Botched and The Surreal Life.

Tawny was married to baseball player Chuck Finley from 1997 to 2002 and they had two daughters together. We’re sending our condolences to her loved ones during this difficult time.
