'Book of Boba Fett' Fan Premiere Event Postponed Due to COVID-19 Surge

Hollywood is slowly starting to see more and more postponements and cancellations due to the latest COVID-19 variant wave with regard to Omicron.

The latest casualty? The red carpet premiere of Disney+’s The Book of Boba Fett.

“Out of an abundance of caution, we will be postponing the Boba Fett fan event,” the streamer said in a statement (via Variety). “It will be relocated to the 8th of February in celebration of the finale.”

The show’s star, Ming-Na Wen, was set to be in attendance, as well as numerous other famous faces in the Star Wars universe. The January 4, 2022 event is expected to be rescheduled.

One event is NOT going to be cancelled, according to producers.
