James Corden Privately Apologizes for Behavior at Restaurant, Owner Explains Why He's Lifting the Ban

James Corden

Keith McNally took to his Instagram account on Monday night (October 17) to announce that he’s lifting the ban on James Corden after the comedian called to apologize for his past behavior at Balthazar restaurant.

“James Corden just called me and apologized profusely. Having f–ked up myself more than most people, I strongly believe in second chances,” Keith wrote in his post.

He continued, “So if James Corden lets me host his Late Late Show for 9 months, I’ll immediately rescind his ban from Balthazar. No, of course not. But….anyone magnanimous enough to apologize to a deadbeat layabout like me (and my staff) doesn’t deserve to be banned from anywhere. Especially Balthazar. So Come Back to the 5 & Dime, Jimmy Corden, Jimmy Corden. All is Forgiven. xx.”

People aren’t as forgiving in the comments section.

“Still doesn’t negate the fact that he’s someone who is rude to wait staff. We all know now,” one commenter said. Another wrote, “Funny how he was apologetic after every news outlet picked up this story…” Someone else asked, “Why apologize to you and not the staff?”

James will be leaving The Late Late Show soon and here are some possible replacement hosts.
