Get to Know 'Enough to Drink' DJ Superstar Sam Feldt With These 10 Fun Facts!

Sam Feldt is one of the biggest rising stars in the dance scene, and we want Just Jared readers to get a chance to know him even better.

You might already know the Dutch DJ and producer from smash hits like “Show Me Love” with Kimberly Anne, which sailed to No. 4 in the U.K. in 2015, as well as 2019′s “Post Malone” with Rani, a U.K. Top 10 hit.

To kick off the New Year, Sam just dropped his instant bop of a new track on January 13, called “Enough to Drink” with vocalist Cate Downey.

The song features Cate Downey’s popular TikTok sound, which got over 2.3 million views when it first arrived on the social media platform.

“Did you drink enough to miss me / Or did you miss me enough to drink?” she wonders.

“Cate is this great writer from L.A. and I found one of her acapellas on TikTok, I knew immediately it would make a great track. So I reached out to her and asked if she was willing to share the stems so I could make a proper track out of it and she said yes. I love the result!” Sam shares.

“It’s great being in the studio working on my own material again. Every song that is on our upcoming schedule has live elements – guitars, pianos, horns. It’s an essential aspect of my creativity at the moment and I’m excited for my fans to hear the music that is emerging right now.”

“Enough to Drink” is the first of a series of new singles set to arrive over the next months, and we’re so excited to hear what’s next.

1. Sam‘s first job was being a voluntary tour guide in a dinosaur museum at the age of 8.
2. Before he was called Sam Feldt, he went by the DJ name of “Dr. Papasov” (called after the Bulgarian clarinet player Ivo Papazov).
3. His legal name is Sammy Boeddha Renders, named after buddha. He is not Buddhist but looked like a buddha statue when he was born because of his long earlobes.
4. Sam always wanted to play the drums, but after he found out you couldn’t play melodies on a drum kit, he switched to piano.
5. Sam sucks at math but can speak five languages.

7. Cate and Sam never met in real life: they made ‘Enough To Drink’ entirely over the internet (including the music video).
8. Sam spends little time on TikTok but accidentally stumbled upon Cate while browsing the app while waiting for his flight to Miami at the airport.
9. Sam‘s drink of choice is wine, especially from the Burgundy region of France.
