Drake Makes History with 75 Million Streams on Spotify, Calls for Artists to Be Paid for Their Achievements

Drake has made Spotify history!

The 36-year-old “Hotline Bling” rapper became the first artist ever to surpass 75 billion streams on the music platform.

While celebrating this major accomplishment, Drake suggested Spotify reward musicians for their achievements.

“We should get bonuses like athletes to motivate the future artists to be consistent and competitive,” Drake wrote on his Instagram Story on Wednesday (February 1) along with a screenshot of his achievement.

“So feel free to send me a Lebron sized [check]. I have enough dinner plates @spotify,” Drake added.

LeBron James earns a $45 million salary from the Los Angeles Lakers, and thanks to his previous salaries and off-court endeavors and endorsements, he became a billionaire in 2022.
