Don Lemon Accused of Misogyny, Threatening Text Messages & Behavior Revealed in Bombshell 'Variety' Story - Soledad O'Brien & Multiple CNN Sources Speak Out!

While co-anchoring Live From in 2008 with Kyra Phillips, a producer and a newsroom supervisor “had to pull Lemon off the air during a commercial break” because of his provocation, the story alleges.

While she was on assignment in Iraq, a job he reportedly wanted, he vented his disappointment by “tearing up pictures and notes on top of and inside Phillips’ desk in the news pod they shared,” according to two sources who worked there at the time.

She also reportedly received two threatening text messages from an unknown number on her phone, including “Now you’ve crossed the line, and you’re going to pay for it.” The texts were reportedly traced back to Don with the help of CNN higher-ups. He was then pulled from co-anchor duties and moved to weekends.

A spokesperson for CNN said: “Don says the alleged incident never occurred and that he was never notified of any investigation. CNN cannot corroborate the alleged events from 15 years ago.” Kyra declined comment on the story.
