Warner Bros. Execs Comment on 'Don't Worry Darling' Press Tour Drama

Warner Bros Film Group Co-Chairpersons and CEOs Michael De Luca and Pamela Abdy gave an interview where they were asked about their new positions in the major studio.

One question they were asked was about the Don’t Worry Darling controversies that overtook the film’s press tour.

In the weeks leading up to the film’s release, Olivia revealed why she fired Shia LaBeouf, the film’s original star, from the leading role. On top of that, rumors of a feud between Olivia and the film’s other star, Florence Pugh, also emerged. Olivia spoke to the rumors of that feud, and also spoke about her romance with the film’s other star, Harry Styles.

Another star of the film, Chris Pine, recently revealed if he noticed any drama. He also spoke about the infamous “spitgate.”

De Luca and Abdy were asked about the many headlines leading up to the release of the film.

“That was just a bad PR head wind,” De Luca told Variety. “I found it a little sexist because if a male director had a romance with someone on his cast? It happens all the time; no one cares.”

Abdy added with a sigh, “It’s an age-old story.”

Florence recently explained why she won’t be answering any Don’t Worry Darling questions…
