Vivek Ramaswamy Responds To Eminem's Cease & Desist Over Rapping His Songs on Campaign Trail

Vivek Ramaswamy has agreed to stop rapping Eminem‘s songs on his campaign trail.

Over the past few weeks, the 38-year-old Republican Presidential hopeful has been rapping “Lose Yourself” to the crowds at his campaign stops. However, Eminem and his music licenser BMI sent him a cease and desist letter to stop.

While Vivek agreed to the ask, he also had a statement, which dissed the Grammy winner.

During his interview with MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell on Tuesday (August 29), Vivek called out Eminem by referencing another one of his songs.

“Look, I’ll respect his wishes. I’ll just say this: Will the real Slim Shady please stand up?” he said.

Vivek went on, “Eminem in his rise used to be a guy who actually stood up to the establishment and said the things that the establishment didn’t want him to say.”

“I think the fact that my political viewpoints may differ from his, I think people change over the course of their lives. But I have hope for him that he will one day rediscover the renegade that made him great and I’m rooting for that success in his life.”
