Beyoncé to Be Named Honorary Mayor of Santa Clara Ahead of 'Renaissance Tour' Stop

On Tuesday (August 29), it was announced that the 41-year-old “Break My Soul” entertainer will be named the honorary mayor of Santa Clara, Calif. and will be given the key to the city ahead of her Renaissance World Tour stop later this week.

“The city of Santa Clara is excited about Beyoncé’s upcoming visit to the world-renowned Levi’s Stadium,” Santa Clara spokesperson Michelle Templeton shared in a statement with The Mercury News. “Her concerts will certainly bring a great deal of energy and excitement.”

Beyoncé will be playing at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara on Wednesday, August 30.

City officials have also extended Santa Clara’s curfew for an hour so that Mayor Beyoncé can play until 11pm without any penalties or tickets.
