“I feel more comfortable being confrontational and authoritative. It’s important for women in this business. I felt so scared of people thinking I was like a bitch just for saying what I wanted on my video or in my picture or on my song,” the 28-year-old singer-songwriter told NPR. “Making music is an emotional thing. And when you’re on a video shoot with 50 people there, you have to somehow, in a non-emotional way, say what you want and not feel guilty for it. And that takes growing up and that takes … not caring how people perceive you as much. And it just takes experience, I think.”

Banks is tangled up in string in the just released music video for “Gemini Feed“!

“And to think you would get me to the altar/ Like I follow you around like a dog that needs water,” the 28-year-old singer-songwriter sings on the hypnotic track. “But admit it that you wanted me smaller/ If you would have let me grow, you could have kept my love.”

Banks embraces a wax version of herself in the creepy music video for her brand new single “F**k With Myself“!

“There’s so many meanings to it,” the 28-year-old singer told Zane Lowe on his Beats 1 Radio Show. “It could be like, ‘I f*ck with myself,’ like, ‘I mess with myself more than anybody else.’ It could be, ‘I f*ck with myself,’ kind of like, ‘I’m feeling myself.’ It means a lot of different things that I think a lot of people can relate to.”

The track is set to be the lead single off Banks‘ upcoming sophomore album, which is set to be released on September 30th – Watch the NSFW music video below!

Banks keeps it super classy while stepping out for the 2015 Met Gala held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on Monday (May 4) in New York City.

The 26-year-old Goddess singer was joined at the annual event by fellow musician Grimes.

“Getting ready for #MetGala. My very first real red carpet. Wish me luck that I don’t fall on my face,” Banks tweeted along with a pic of herself getting ready for the red carpet.

Later that evening, Banks shared another pic of herself with Selena Gomez and Vanessa Hudgens at the Met Ball after party – Check it out below!

The 25-year-old actress showed off some skin in a black crop top and ripped skinny jeans.
