Benh Zeitlin hits the red carpet at the 2013 Academy Awards held at the Dolby Theatre on Sunday (February 24) in Hollywood.

The 30-year-old filmmaker is nominated tonight for Best Director for his work on his film Beasts of the Southern Wild.

Benh is nominated against Lincoln‘s Steven Spielberg, Life of Pi‘s Ang Lee, Silver Linings Playbook‘s David O. Russell, and Amour‘s Michael Haneke.

Dwight Henry, who stars in Beasts of the Southern Wild alongside Quvenzhane Wallis, was seen stepping out on the red carpet that evening.

The nine-year-old actress was joined on the red carpet by her Beasts of the Southern Wild director Benh Zeitlin.
