Thankfully, they ran with a few of those ideas and the script is in the process of being written – but Hulk Hogan is still quite a way away,” he went on to say.

According to court documents, the settlement comes eight months after courts awarded Hulk Hogan $140 million in damages after the site posted a sex tape of him.

“After four years of litigation funded by a billionaire with a grudge going back even further, a settlement has been reached,” Gawker founder Nick Denton wrote in a blog post. “The saga is over. Hogan’s retirement will be comfortable.”

“As with any negotiation for resolution, all parties have agreed it is time to move on,” David Houston, Hulk‘s lawyer, said in a statement.

Hulk Hogan Responds to News of Gawker.com Shutting Down

Hulk Hogan has taken to Twitter to respond to the news that Gawker.com is shutting down following his victory in a lawsuit against the website.

The 63-year-old former pro wrestler seemingly took credit for the site’s fall after he was awarded $140 million from the media company. “They messed with the wrong guy brother HH,” he said.

Hogan sued the website for invasion of privacy after it posted a sex tape featuring the wrestler.
