Sam Heughan is circling the lead role in the upcoming movie Days Gone, an adaptation of the popular PlayStation game that has sold nine million units.

Deadline reports that Sony PlayStation Productions is developing the new film after the success of the movie Uncharted, which grossed over $400 million at the box office.

The story “is set in the Pacific Northwest after a devastating global pandemic. The game chronicles former motorcycle club member, Deacon St. John (Heughan), as he fights to survive against the forces of despair and mutated, predatory humans in his quest to find the long lost, presumed dead, love of his life.”

Oscar-nominated writer Sheldon Turner is writing the script and he’s producing with Jennifer Klein through their production company Vendetta Productions. This is the second project that Sam has in the works with them!

Yvonne Orji has landed her next role and it’s for an exciting new Netflix series!

The Insecure actress will lead a new drama series with the working title Stronger, which is being billed as a “female empowerment bodybuilding drama series,” according to Deadline.

Oscar-nominated writer Sheldon Turner is the creator and writer behind the series, which he is executive producing with longtime partner Jennifer Klein. They are executive producing via their Vendetta Prodcutions alongside Yvonne and her manager DC Wade.

Sam Heughan and Ewan McGregor are about to be co-stars!

The 41-year-old Outlander star and the 50-year-old Star Wars actor will star in an adventure thriller called Everest from director Doug Liman, Deadline reported Wednesday (June 16).

Aaron Rodgers is one of the executive producers of the upcoming Amazon football movie Work Horses and the project is being completely reinvented!

The project was originally announced in 2018 and now Oscar-nominated and Golden Globe-winning writer Sheldon Turner and his producing partner Jennifer Klein have been brought in to put their own stamp on it.

Deadline reported that the film will take “an inside look into the world of high-stakes, big time college football, and follows a newly hired head coach as he confronts systematic corruption and the routine abuse of athletes within the sport.”

Aaron is executive producing the project with ESPN analyst Desmond Howard and actor Ryan Rottman.

Sheldon‘s other credits include the story for X-Men: First Class, as well as The Longest Yard, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning, and the upcoming Chloe Moretz film Love Is a Gun and Doug Liman‘s Everest film.
