OlderJosh Duhamel Plays With Polar Bears
Josh Duhamel goes to the shore of Hudson Bay near Churchill, Manitoba, Canada on Wednesday to learn first-hand how climate change is affecting the polar bear population.
The 36-year-old Transformers star told ET Canada, “The bears sort of symbolize something global and if we think globally, we have to think locally and if we’re thinking locally we have to be conscious of things we can do to reduce, you know? They’re just amazing creatures, they’re just awesome. The more I learn, the more interesting they are.”
Josh joined scientists from Polar Bears International on the excursion. He toured the area on a Tundra Buggy and in a helicopter and also recorded a PSA for the non-profit organization.
Earlier this week, Josh and Fergie walked their dog in a canyon park area in Los Angeles. The couple is heading to North Dakota for the start of the holidays this week, to spend Thanksgiving Day with their parents and are currently planning a 2009 wedding.

Hey JackA$$ — please calculate your carbon footprint from you trip up there and think about if it was really worth it so you, a dumb actor, could get “smart” on global warming through a wasted trip that will provide the world with one little anecdote from an insignificant actor. Churchill Manitoba is basking in the oxymorons who call themselves “eco-tourists” traveling up there to see the affects of global warming first hand. Here’s a thought…if you really want to be an “eco-tourist” – stay home and experience the polar bear virtually.
