Lindsay Lohan Sentenced to 120 Days in Jail

Lindsay Lohan has been sentenced to 120 days in jail for violating her probation, TMZ reports.

The 24-year-old actress was remanded into custody on Friday (April 22) after a preliminary hearing in her necklace case.

Judge Stephanie Sautner, who earlier in the day had reduced the charge from a felony to a misdemeanor, also ordered Linds to complete 480 hours of community service at the Downtown Women’s Center and L.A. County Morgue.

Lindsay‘s lawyer has said she plans to appeal, meaning she’s also entitled to post bail.

She JUST needs to get it together! how many times is she gonna go to court. stop violating your probation girl

  • asha

No big deal. It is not like she will serve the time anyway. She will post bail like always and be back to her partying before night fall. She will continue to violate her probation and will always get away with it.

So how long before she’s out because of “overcrowding”?

…ahahahahahaha …bout time! …she’s going to jail for violating her probation, i don’t think they’ll be cutting that time short (i fcuking hope not)

  • allie

This is a very lenient sentence but still, she should be forced to do it all. No overcrowding bull.

Typically, 120 days in county means around two weeks, which would turn out to be number ’14′ days confirmation of my 14 years figure in the Cape Fear prophecy.

  • lilo

go away already loser. I used to be fan of her. But I stopped pulling for her she is just a lost cause.

  • missy

she’ll probably serve 18 minutes, these judges are a joke.

That was fast.I thought she would go home, happy and celebrating today. Then i read this news. The judge spared her of being convicted of a grand theft, but at the same time sent her to jail(120 days) for violating her probation.I’m surprised, really.I thought she would be protected again…
I wonder if Lindsay will be able to become a responsible person and stop commiting crimes and violating all her probations one day.I I wonder if the producers of the cheap fims are thinking of her newest conviction, and if they’ll still want her in their movies again. She’s a trouble magnet, will make any movie lose money, and can’t be trusted.
I thought she had a cure, but she’ll die criminal, junkie and alcoholic.Sad.She’s young and could have had a different life, but she attracts trouble and problems for herself. She loves her wrong and troubled life. She’s a lost case.I just hope she doesn’t kill a person one day, that will be her total ruin.

Let the appeal begin, she’s still going to jail. She WAS on probation, she DID take the necklace. Violation of probation right there. If the Judge’s sentencing is within the legal guidelines ( there’s no reason to think it wasn’t), she’s still going to jail.
How can you have a necklace that doesn’t belong to you for WEEKS and claim you were too busy to return it? She only tried to return it when she knew the Police were coming after her. All of a sudden her time freed up, go figure. It’s her attorney’s job to appeal, doesn’t mean that the sentencing will be reduced or the Judgment will be thrown out.
With a 4 month sentence, I’d say she’d do at least 3 weeks to 30 days. Not long enough to scare her straight. She’s still in that fairytale stage where she thinks she’s a really, really big star and that the world revolves around her. Her ego and sense of entitlement is out of sync with her level of celebrity, importance and influence. In other words, she thinks WAY more of herself that she should.
I wish her well, but it seems this woman is unable to make good decisions and needs a keeper.

Ah,and soon we’ll see her new and 5th mugshot. She’s getting experienced in going to
And that’s sad, because she keeps violating probations and commiting crimes every year. And like i wrote before,i hope she doesn’t kill another person. She thinks she can get away of all the crimes she commits and that is above the law,but one day she’ll kill someone, and this time, her lawyer won’t save her. She’ll be convicted and will be in jail for years.Or she behaves,or will rot in jail one day. She’s young and can get better, but she loves her drugs, her alcohols and her dirty life.lindsay is incurable, and that’s sad.

I pray that she has to serve this sentence in full, for once. It still won’t make her any less of a spoiled, entitled, little twat, but at least (hopefully) she’ll see that she can’t ALWAYS get with away with $h!t without consequences.

This story makes me so angry!! All it does is teach my kids about how we have no equal justice…my kids in South Central would have long been in jail had they behaved like Miss Lohan. It is pretty pathetic we just keep giving her a pass!

What a self destructive person. To be young, healthy, good looking, have so many life opportunities, money, lives in the free country but choses for alcohol drugs and low life….pluse does not learn from past mistakes and experiences….another cursed soul of Hollywood – those people are so spoiled, shallow, vain and blinded for true life values. Go back to prison, Lindsay..hopefully you’ll think better this time.
