Blake Lively: 'Savages' Stills & Personal On-Set Pics!

Check out these new stills from Blake Lively‘s upcoming film, Savages, which is based on the Don Winslow novel.

Earlier this week, director Oliver Stone released the first official pictures for the movie, along with some of Blake‘s personal pics from the set, and several behind the scenes shots of the cast filming on a desert island.

Blake took a lot of photographs along the way,” Oliver said. “She’s quite creative and is always exploring things, including her bloody hands. I won’t tell you how they get bloody, but you’ll see for yourself.”

Savages hits theaters on July 6 and also stars Taylor Kitsch, Aaron Johnson, Salma Hayek, Emile Hirsch, John Travolta, Uma Thurman, and Benecio Del Toro.

The film tells the story of pot growers Ben (Johnson) and Chon (Kitsch), who face off against the Mexican drug cartel who kidnap their shared girlfriend (Lively).

Looks like a film with substance. Blake is making good choices when it comes to career. She’s branching out for when Gossip Girl ends. Smart.

the last Oliver Stone movie i saw was Wall Street Money Never Sleeps. i thought it was amazing. the one before that, Alexander, total failure. in general i feel like Stone’s recent movies are a hit or miss. this movie is based on a book (i haven’t read)…and i understand with all the recent drug murders in Mexico a story/movie like this has a lot of relevance. it just feels like a 90s or early 2000s movie (maybe that’s when it takes place?) with all the sequels, regurgitated scrips/stories, coming out of hollywood this movie seems like another story we’ve seen already, with a few changes. i dunno. going to the movies these days is just depressing all around.

    Great cast.
I’m glad that Blake is getting the opportunity to work with Oliver Stone. He’s created some of the most memorable movies.
(Aside – Blake looks really good. She has a really pretty face and a nice figure.)

I find it hilarious Oliver Stone calls her creative when these photographs are just like any other instagram photos you see out there.

I want to see the movie, but there is no need to go around like she’s the next Annie Leibovitz.

    Beautiful Blake

I can’t stand Blake but I will watch this movie – Taylor Kitsch and the story seems more promising than BS or JC (I’m just bored by aliens)
