Prince William Wears Yarmulke To Visit His Great-Grandmother's Resting Place in Jerusalem
Prince William put on a yarmulke as a sign of respect while visiting the Western Wall, Judaism’s holiest place of prayer, in Jerusalem’s Old City on Thursday (June 28) in Jerusalem, Israel.
The 36-year-old Duke of Cambridge stood with British chief Rabbi Ephraim Mirvis and Western Wall chief Rabbi Shmuel Rabinovitch during his visit.
William also laid flowers at the tomb of Princess Alice, the mother of Prince Philip, at the Church of St. Mary Magdalene in Jerusalem’s Old City
This is Prince William‘s final day of his official tour of Jordan, Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territories and is the first member of the British royal family to make an official visit to the Jewish state.
