Booksmart

Presenting her directorial debut, Olivia Wilde‘s Booksmart arrives on Blu-Ray and Digital HD this week.

This rated-R teen comedy features two female students who are top of their class academically who are on the even of their high school graduation when they realize they should have partied more. They decide to go all out on their final night where they discover themselves while testing their friendship.

Supported by a clever script, actresses Billie Lourd and Kaitlyn Dever are hilarious together. Though the film follows most of the classic teen tropes, the pair’s chemistry keeps the film going into something fresh. The film even features a stop motion sequence and musical number!

Extras include deleted scenes, making of featurettes, and audio commentary by Olivia Wilde.

If you’re into some crass humorous dialogue and love a good teen comedy, Booksmart is a solid pick up.
