Duchess Meghan Markle & Prince Harry Apologize on Instagram After This 'Hiccup'

Duchess Meghan Markle and Prince Harry had a minor hiccup on Instagram that saw them issuing an apology.

It started when the royal couple posted a quote from activist and poet Maya Angelou. The quote should have read “Each time a woman stands up for herself, without knowing it possibly, without claiming it, she stands up for all women.”

However, the quote actually read, “Each time a women stands up for herself…” Fans were quick to point out the typo, and the royal couple’s digital team quickly deleted the post and revised, putting it back up again with the correct spelling.

“We post inspiring words like these so you can enjoy them, remember them, and share them – all the more reason to ensure they’re accurate. We are reposting because of a typo in the previous quote card,” the new caption for the post read. “Apologies for the hiccup, and many thanks to those of you who flagged it for us! We do hope you’ll keep and share these powerful words from Maya Angelou -The Sussex Digital Team.”
