Jake Gyllenhaal, Isla Fisher & More Take Part in First Public U.S. Performance of 'Letters Live'!

Jake Gyllenhaal hits the stage to perform during the first public U.S. performance of Letters Live held on Monday (February 26) at the Theatre at Ace Hotel in Los Angeles.

The 37-year-old actor was joined at the event by Isla Fisher, Annabelle Wallis, James Corden, Mark Hamill, Aisha Tyler, Shirley Manson, Danny Huston, Lucy Yeomans, Anjelica Huston, Catherine Keener, Stephen Fry, Reggie Watts and Jarvis Cocker.

Letters Live, hosted by NET-A-PORTER and MR PORTER, celebrates the enduring power of literary correspondence by pairing together distinguished actors and persons of note to perform prescient and thematic letters from oftentimes the most unlikely of original correspondents.

The net profit from ticket sales (following the show’s production costs) were donated to partner charities 826LA, a Los Angeles-based non-profit organization dedicated to supporting students with creative and expository writing skills, and Women for Women International, a charity which supports women survivors of war living in some of the world’s most dangerous places to rebuild their lives and inspire hope for the future.

Sarah Silverman Gets Support from Boyfriend Michael Sheen at 'I Love You America' Premiere!

Sarah Silverman flashes a big smile as she poses alongside her boyfriend Michael Sheen while attending the premiere of her new series I Love You America held Cheateau Marmont on Wednesday (October 11) in Los Angeles.

The 46-year-old actress and Michael, 48, were also joined by Reggie Watts and producer Gavin Purcell at the event.

Sarah sings about America in the premiere song from the Hulu original series, which debuts tonight (October 12) – New episodes Thursday nights only on Hulu!

“More than anything, the show is silly, aggressively dumb”my favorite type of humor”and occasionally earnest,” Sarah told Newsweek. “It’s social politics, with anything smart to say wrapped in a big, doughy, dumb sandwich. It’s eclectic, but to me, very cohesive. I was trying to second-guess what reviews might be, which I don’t usually do. There are people who will say, “It doesn’t know what it is.” But I know exactly what it is. It may feel like controlled chaos, but good or bad is subjective. I can tell you that it’s well thought-out. It’s exactly the kind of show I wanted to make, but I’m not everybody.”

Orlando Bloom at We Day: I'll Never Take Life for Granted!

Orlando Bloom poses backstage with Big Sean while attending the We Day California event held at the Oracle Arena on Wednesday afternoon (March 26) in Oakland, Calif.

The 37-year-old actor talked about the time in 1998 when he fell three stories after trying to climb to the roof of a building. He was paralyzed for four days and doctors thought he might never walk again.

“Laying in that hospital bed, I thought about the course of my life,” Orly said. “How reckless I’d been. How I hadn’t valued my life. I knew that wasn’t my destiny. I fixed my mind right there and then that I would leave [the] hospital on my own and strive to never take life for granted again. Never.”

Also pictured inside at the event: Seth Rogen, Hannah Simone, Evanna Lynch, Reggie Watts, Martin Sheen, and Rico and Raini Rodriguez.
