Women's Gymnastics Team Lead Qualifying Round at Olympics
The U.S. Women’s Gymnastics Team – Jordyn Wieber, Gabby Douglas, Aly Raisman, McKayla Maroney, and Kyla Ross – compete during the Artistics Gymnastics Women’s qualification during day 2 of the 2012 Summer Olympics on Sunday (July 29) at the North Greenwich Arena in London, England.
The ladies placed first with only Russia coming close to the team’s score. In the qualifying round for the All-Around Final, Jordyn was shut out of the competition when she made some uncharacteristic missteps. She was the favorite going into the competition.
Only two women from each country can compete in the All-Around Final. Aly, the U.S. team captain, and Gabby will compete for the United States!
