That same day, the 38-year-old Yankees third baseman’s legal team was blocked from presenting a “Major League Baseball whistleblower” at a press conference that was to take place.

“We’d prefer that this hearing be open publicly,” Joseph Tacopina, leader of Alex‘s legal team, said about wanting to overturn his 211 game suspension for doping. “All we want is for the truth to come out, and all we want is for the testimony to come out, particularly [MLB executive Rob] Manfred‘s.”
