Sam Smith Cancels Milan Concert Due to Laryngitis

Sam Smith greets his fans while arriving in town on Monday (March 9) in Milan, Italy.

The 22-year-old singer was scheduled to perform that night at the Alcatraz Club, but it looks like he had to cancel the show due to laryngitis.

“I have Laryngitis, I’m so upset,” Sam tweeted. “I’m sorry to any fans in Milan tonight and to all who have travelled from abroad. I have laryngitis. I promise I will make it up to you.”

“Milan I’m back in June and I will sing the hardest I’ve ever sung. That’s a promise,” he added.
