Lena Dunham Opens Up About Marriage On 'Ellen' - Watch Here!

Lena Dunham steps out on stage for her appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, airing on Friday (October 2).

The 29-year-old Girls star chatted with Ellen about marriage being legalized, her relationship with boyfriend Jack Antonoff, and if they will tie the knot now that everyone can get married.

“We were thrilled, we were celebrating. And then suddenly the texts just started coming from our friends, from our mothers, from our exercise instructors. Being like finally it’s your time. And we kind of looked at each other we were like oh G-d what have we done?,” Lena told Ellen. “No, we were hiding behind fake liberal ideals! No we, marrying, we were like those were our beliefs, but then we were like we’re not gonna suddenly just get engaged because it became legal we better wait for a moment where we feel excited about this and I’m excited to marry him at some point, but it felt like a lot of pressure to just got for it that day. I did start to ask are there a lot of heterosexuals using this as an excuse to avoid commitment.”
