Janet Jackson Slams Rumors She Has Cancer

Janet Jackson has taken to social media to respond to rumors that she is battling throat cancer.

The 49-year-old singer, who recently had to postpone her tour because she has to undergo surgery, slammed the rumors in a video on Twitter.

A clip from Janet‘s song “Unbreakable” stars off the video and the lyrics include, “sources say but where ya gettin’ it/ Don’t create the truth you like.”

“Remember… believe it when you hear it from my lips,” a message from Janet reads in the video. “The rumors are untrue. I do not have cancer. I’m recovering. My doctors have approved my concerts as scheduled in Europe, and as I promised, the postponed shows will be rescheduled. Thank you for your prayers and love.”
