Melissa McCarthy Confirms She's Returning to 'Gilmore Girls'

Melissa McCarthy just confirmed that she will be returning to the Gilmore Girls revival!

While making an appearance on The Ellen Show, the 45-year-old actress explained that just hours earlier, she and showrunner Amy Sherman-Palladino figured out they could make scheduling work.

“It is really exciting. There has been something that I have been asked about so, so many times and it hasn’t worked out…And there was a whole thing. And then I was gonna be out of the country and blah, blah, blah. And literally about an hour and half ago we figured out that I’m gonna go back and do it and I am so excited. And they are gonna be amazing,” she explained.

Melissa added, “Amy Sherman-Palladino is going to squeeze me in to do it and I’m very happy to go back to Stars Hollow…I’m just really excited about that. So it just happened and I got asked a lot about it and as of not even two hours ago it’s happening.”

The exciting news came just after Amy Sherman-Palladino said that Melissa most likely wouldn’t be making a return.
