'The Jungle Book' Keeps No. 1 Box Office Spot, 'Captain America: Civil War' Debuts Huge Overseas
The Jungle Book easily topped this weekend’s box office for its third consecutive week with an additional $42.4 million gross!
According to THR, Disney’s adaptation of the classic tale hit $252.1 million domestically and $684.8 million globally.
Tying for second place were the star-studded film The Huntsman, and Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele‘s new flick Keanu, both of which earned $9.45 million. The final numbers will be released tomorrow.
Rounding out the top five were Jennifer Aniston and Julia Roberts‘ new movie Mother’s Day and Barbershop: The Next Cut, which grossed $8.3 million and $6.1 million, respectively.
Meanwhile, Captain America: Civil War, starring Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr. debuted overseas to a massive $200.2 million!
