Prince's Cause of Death Revealed to Be From Opioid Overdose

Prince‘s cause of death has been revealed after his sudden and tragic death earlier in the year.

The legendary entertainer – who passed away at the age of 57 – died due to opioid overdose, the AP is reporting. Tests reportedly came back and have been seen by law enforcement officials. The AP is also reporting that the officer who disclosed the news spoke on the condition of anonymity, because he was not authorized to release the information.

The Carver County Sheriff’s Office opened an investigation after his death, and there were rumors of drug use.
