Former NFL Quarterback Tim Tebow to Pursue Baseball Career
Former NFL quarterback Tim Tebow is planning a major comeback…as a major league baseball player!
The 28-year-old athlete, who has been on the roster for four NFL teams in the past several years, has been training for the past year to be a professional batter and outfielder, ESPN reports.
Tim has not played baseball since high school in 2005. He played quarterback at Florida in college.
“Obviously we support Tim in his pursuit of a baseball career, as we have in all his ventures,” Tim‘s agent Jimmy Sexton said. “Tim‘s athletic ability, his work ethic, his leadership and his competitiveness were evident in football and will show in baseball. Knowing Tim‘s passion and desire, we won’t be surprised by anything he accomplishes.”
Tim will hold a workout at the end of the month and all 30 MLB teams will be invited. He has informed his current employer, ESPN, his plans to pursue baseball.
