Jude Law's 'Young Pope' Trailer Debuts During Venice Film Fest

Jude Law attends a photo call for his upcoming limited series The Young Pope during the 2016 Venice Film Festival on Saturday (September 3) in Venice, Italy.

The 43-year-old actor was joined at the event by co-stars James Cromewell, Javier Camara, Ludivine Sagnier, Cecile de France, Scott Shepherd, and director Paolo Sorrentino.

The first trailer for the 10-part series, airing in the U.S. on HBO, has been released. Here is the synopsis: “Lenny Belardo is no ordinary Pope. He is the youngest and first American Pope in history. We find him on the morning of his first day in office, preparing to enter into the power struggles inside the closed, secretive Vatican state.”
