Liev Schreiber Took 800 Punches for Boxing Film 'The Bleeder'

The real-life couple stars in the upcoming film together and during a press conference in Venice, it was revealed that Liev took 800 punches for his role as a boxer.

“Fortunately for us and unfortunately for the insurance company, [Liev] said he was going to take real punches … that made an enormous difference,” director Philippe Falardeau said (via Reuters). “What you see in the movie are bits and pieces of what happened in the real fight. Sometimes it’s spectacular, sometimes it’s not spectacular but it’s genuine. And I didn’t watch any boxing movie preparing this one.”

FYI: Liev is wearing a Burberry tuxedo and Prada shoes. Naomi is wearing a Fendi dress, Tabitha Simmons boots, and a Jimmy Choo clutch.
